My father has cancer.
Lymphoma to be specific. I am just in shock right now. I don't know what to say or do.

Oh my god.

15. Thanks everyone
I am in the middle of a panic attack right now. The last five years have been hell for my family and now, it has taken another turn. We can't deal with another tragedy. I can't deal with death or emotion. Now he is probably going to die and the tragedies will continue. I will be alone, and then die. Fuck.

18. Hodgkins or Non-Hodgkins?
Very sorry for what you're family is feeling right now. Good thing you've got the internet, you'll be a Lymphoma expert by the end of next week, I'll bet.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Lymphoma+%22clinical+trials%22

Add your state to that search and there might be several options for clinical trials in your area.

Also there's this
http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/

A lot more people are winning the fight against cancer. Lots and Lots and Lots more.

Non-Hodgkins lymphoma is by no means a death sentence. Here are a couple of more links I found

Docs told her to "get your affairs in order" about 15 years ago. She's healthier than I am now. Diet change helped her.

Offer him hope. Never give up.

38. Your falther may go into remission from Lymphoma for a long time.
My brother had it and the treatment, although pretty awful, was very successful. Just take advantage of the time you have with him and enjoy each moment.

It's very difficult to see someone go through the treatment. Just give your dad all of your love and support. He'll appreciate it.
