Spell check, is creepy. Can anyone help me? Please?
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 12:15 AM by uppityperson
How can I type something on my computer here, click on DU's spell check and have DU's computer read what I have typed on my computer here and tell me if it thinks it is spelled correctly? I haven't even posted it to DU yet so how does the DU computer know what I have typed? This is creepy, in an odd sort of way. Does the DU supercomputer know what else I am doing? Can it see what I am wearing or eating or thinking? Can it see which cat is on my lap, does it know if I am petting the cat? How does this work?

Just a random thought here.

3. Technical explanation:
The DU supercomputer doesn't actually know what you've written. That would be just crazy. Rather, it infects your home computer with a powerful virus that teaches your home computer how to read text and check for spellling errorrs among other thingsssssss. Howwww this wksi is actl a closly hld scert tht teh vrs dxznt wnt yo to knmkfjggjkfljglmvmar;l.d;fgj'glm merm 'gq fpk arre, rrbblm;lrkjgoarmoarmbormaotmbuergluiayb iu i r burb liur iu i iu ieur liru irub lairugbaliurbg al ubf aubr ;l iuarieub ;liurliaeru ;aeriub ga;irueb gf;ariubg a;rieubg;aiurb ga;eiuba;eriubga;eigbuae;iugba;ia;eriu bga;erigubae;rigubae;riugbaer;iuae;riguba;erigubae;rigubae;rguibae;rigubae;rguibae;rgiubae;rigubaer;gbae;irugbae;rigbuae;irubga;iuer bga;ieurb;aierubgi;euarb gureibg ;uierbg;ieuarbg;iuq3erb ;ugbf uba;t8h48buirb gfdgbiau bgu4b;urbg84hq93ht934ht3h8srhgubrg4homatinvvling suprsn fo teh nformation. So as you might expect, each spell check just makes the virus stronger.

4. Yes it can. The DU computer can also tell when you last had sex
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 01:13 AM by LibInTexas
within, say, the last few days.

I know it's creepy, but what the heck. The DU computer can also tell if you are wearing street clothes or if you have a bathrobe on. It also knows if you have nothing on! Ain't technology wonderful? Thank you Homeland Security and NASA.

By the way. You might want to take those curlers out of your hair. Not very becomming. You look so much nicer with your hair down.

AND stop drinking those colas! You're starting to put on weight!

9. Java is only part of the technology that the DU computer uses.
The HAL 9000 series computer has been updated since the '70s to include much more in the way of interactivity. DU has been continuously on the cutting edge of the newest in personal computing design.

DU, can for example, ferret out the freeper moles in just a few posts. Now this doesn't sound like much, but you might be surprised at how efective it is. The grammar check alone picks up the typical freep post in under a minute.

Now, please pick up the empty bags sitting on the table behind you. You ate that stuff earlier, and it's time to throw out the remains.

Oh, by the way. I would NOT tell my sister about that "thing" you've been stewing over. Nope, never.

8. The DU computer knows what you are going to write
It knows your hat size, your third grade gym teacher and the first time you smoked with those boys behind the furniture store.

To DU supercomputer, you're so transparent.
