3. we took our dinner party into the streets

it was as if all the adornments of our upper-middle class lifestyles suddenly lost their hold on us: we switched chardonnay for milwaukees best; bought an ounce of crack, some glass pipes, and copper wool; and hijacked a fleet of 1 ton duallys with loud pipes and headed straight for the ghetto.

although chet had an mba, a successful career manipulating intangibles for great profit, and a nice suburban house, he ripped the polo logo from his shirt and took some scissors and cut his shirt sleeves off in between massive hits from the crack pipe.

his wife headed to the bathroom with three of chet's frat buddies from state. chet collected $20 a piece from each of the dudes.
