Nice thing about SoCal - good climate for wine grapes.

Tore out some of the front yard for Zinfandel. Got rid of all that useless high maintenance lawn.

I'm on my 4th year now. Harvest, crush late sept. Press a week later. Bottle in December.

6. Rooted cuttings
from a Sonoma based provider that got bought out and no longer sells to hobbyists. The merged company has a minimum lot of 24 plants.

The old guys would sell as few or as many as you wanted.

Productivity is as good as it will get. Some plants never produce much, others a whole lot

For my 30-some plants I get 5 to 10 gallons per year.
