The gay man inside me finds the profession of firefighting very sexy. It's like you get all the manly man elite warrior thing with the cuteness and kindness of saving kittens.

As for women, I find park rangers very sexy but I could be biased since my wife is a park ranger.

I was saying this in the 90's, and people would just look blankly at me. After 9-11 all of a sudden everyone got it. Police don't get emough credit either.

17. I've had a few sexy jobs

I was a "life model" for artists when I was in college. I posed, in the nude, for the art students, many of whom were my friends, and two of whom I dated -- before my modeling gigs.

I was also a sleep lab tech, research assistant, and software developer. That was way sexy, except that the actual job sucked, and sucked loud.

My last long-term job was as a software developer for a big-assed pharmaceutical company that just lost an enormous lawsuit. Oh, it was sexy, all right. Up to the very day my job was sold out to China, India, and/or Bulgaria.

Interestingly, none of these jobs were ever sexy enough to get me any sex. I've had to depend on the old-fashioned method to get sex: begging.

Right now I'm trying to decide whether to embark on a sexy new career as a misunderstood poet, or an Irishman. Or maybe a misunderstood Irish poet.
