Evidently ONJ was on a talk show many years ago when the host asked her if she had a boyfriend. She responded that she actually at the time had "more girlfriends than boyfriends". This rather innocuous response was then blown entirely out of proportion.

ONJ has had a long history of male live-ins/partners, and even has a child by her first SO, whom she met on the set of Xanadu.

I have met Patrick a couple of times. He's a lovely person and I pray he's OK.
