Tonight on AMC: Moonraker

Roger Moore as 007 with Lois Chiles as Holly Goodhead (love those Bond names!) and Richard Kiel as Jaws, who annoyingly is turned into comic relief and a good guy in this picture...

Also with Blanche Ravalec as Jaws new girlfriend, whom I'm embarrassed to admit I have a strange attraction; maybe she reminds me of someone I once knew, or maybe it's just those big...pigtails...

... that if you take the word 'moon' to be a euphamism for the posterior, the meaning of moonraker is kinda filthy. I am speculating.

actually the sail definition makes more sense as a Bond title, but this little book called the "Uncyclopedia" maintains that a "Moonraker" is simply a nickname for a resident of Wiltshire, England. Perhaps the sail was invented there?

Man, this movie stunk. After the wonderful "Spy Who Loved Me," this thing was a grand turd looking to belatedly cash in on the whole space-opera movie fad. Truly a piece of junk put together cookie-cutter style by studio idiots.. Let's see, Star Wars space movies are the vogue, so we'll have spaceships... Check.... Jaws played well in the last film as an absurd villian, let's write him into this one... Check...
