I waited on him in Phoenix when I was a server in a steakhouse there about 10 years ago. He came in by himself for lunch and was pretty cool. I couln't believe it was THE Superstar Billy Graham; I had to get his autograph. I don't know what I ever did w/ it..

you run into some pretty cool people from time to time don't you? I got Dan Gable's autograph, that and the John Kerry one on my hat are about the only ones I've ever saved. I couldn't even fucking talk when I met Gable. I just stood there in awe and handed him my program then he signed it. I just meekly took it back and walked back up into the stands. It was the day after my 21st birthday. I was so fucking hungover too. Blech.

So what was Billy like? Seems like he has a cool personality. Gotta be an intense guy. Injuries notwithstanding.

100. working in Restaurants and Hotels gets you close

to alot of famous/infamous people, I guess. He was pretty quiet, but nice; left a good tip. He seemed shocked that I knew who he was, though; I guess he didn't get recognized often.

At a hotel in Phoenix where I workes a few years later I actually escorted Tammy Faye Bakker around while she was doing a Press Conference for the documentary that was made about her; I an't think of the name. She was also in town to open an outdoor swap-meet(?!)that weekend; she was a sweetheart, and very tiny, too...
