What Music Downloading Service Do You Use?
My Shareaza has gone to the crapper. And don't gimme none of that 88 cents per song crap. I want the real deal, the illegal route. I'm fed up with Shareaza and I've heard Kazaa was lame and that the RIAA was all over it.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

1. Isn't RIAA all over all of them?
But to answer your question, Limewire...

2. Yeah,
I guess so. But I don't download that much stuff. Just occasional good songs that ordinarily come on crappy CDs. That happens every now and then as you know.

3. iTunes
I pay for it. I have a hard time stealing music from the artists, and the studio workers, crew, union members, etc...

19. Having basically tried all of them..
... I can say that Soulseek is the best *for the kind of stuff I'm looking for*.

Limewire is pretty good also.

9. I suggest you subscribe to Rhapsody.
They have a humongus collection of songs and albums and you can find nearly everything there. That's what I do.

13. Nope...$21 every three months. With unlimited access to all songs!
You can set up your own radio stations with it too! It's really cool!

14. Alright then
$21 I don't have.

I just spent $225 on a new pair of shades and then $150 for a Sirius radio. Now it is time to steal ROFL! :smoke:

Holey Moley, they saw YOU coming didn't they? Take the shades back, get a cheap pair from someplace else and use the other $205 to subscribe to Rhaposdy.

16. What does "unlimited access" mean in this context?
Does it mean you can actually download songs, burn them onto CDs, etc?

18. Well, if you don't subscribe, you can only hear 30 sec clips...
Once you subscribe, you get the full song. If you want to bun a song to CD, they charge you $0.79 per to burn them. Rhapsody is a streaming audio site. You are not limited to the number of songs you can play during that three month period...hence, unlimited access.

24. HAHAHAHA!!
OldLeftie's a girl lawyer, ya doof.

You'll love Limewire. I've rarely been unable to find something I was looking for, and what's really good is that they'll snag corrupted files for you before the download goes into your shared file folder. Very cool.

George Allen is such a disgusting human being. Do you know that when he was Governor of VA, he kept a noose dangling from the ceiling in his office? And in a Commonwealth that still has a place called Lynchburg.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Lefty .. :headbang:.. :applause:

I like what I have and I needs no more.

I'm staring at my 126 store-bought CDs right now.

Anything new I get from a used store, provided it was in good shape.

And I know the RIAA would make selling used discs illegal too. I think they tried, once...
