Best clown in U.S. takes job seriously (rumored to earn $600K a year)

Bello Nock is a big star. He's the clown at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which opens in San Jose on Wednesday. Time magazine once named him ``America's Best Clown.'' Which makes Nock the best clown at the Greatest Show on Earth.

You know Bello Nock by his first name and his forest of hair. It's strawberry blond and it sticks straight up. It looks like he stuck his finger in a light socket, which may be where he gets his energy.

The guy makes a ton. The Wall Street Journal says $600,000 a year. Nock, 36, says that's wrong, but he won't say exactly what is right.

"I have a comfortable life," says Nock, who looks pretty comfortable.
