Anyone in Hogtown seen the Star today?
TORONTO- A lawyer representing the families of Karla Homolka's victims says they want an investigation into allegations she has violated conditions of her release. Among other things, a hardware-store owner in the Montreal area who hired and befriended her alleges the schoolgirl killer has been associating with criminals. Toronto lawyer Tim Danson, who speaks for the families of murdered teens Kristin French and Leslie Mahaffy, says if true it's a ``very serious situation.'' The conditions were imposed after Homolka completed her 12-year prison sentence for manslaughter and was released July 4. Danson says the public is at risk. ``The whole reason why these conditions were imposed on Karla Homolka was because the court was satisfied on the evidence before it that she represented a threat to public safety,'' Danson said in an interview Tuesday.
