I just got the "Emergency!" Season One DVDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 03:19 PM by Enraged_Ape
Words cannot express my excitement at this. This was the TV show that inspired not only me, but countless others, to go into the healthcare/medical/firefighting/rescue fields. It was the first and best of any of the "ER"-type shows.

For the next 11 hours, I don't care what Bush / Cheney / Condi / Rumsfeld / Wolfowitz do to this country or the world. I don't care how my life is most likely completely $crewed thanks to the evil f---s in the White House. For the next 11 hours, firefighter/paramedics Johnny Gage and Roy DeSoto are saving people's lives!! And that really is what it's all about!

Damn, the nostalgia is killing me today! I had no idea this was out on DVD. Thanks for the head's up.

10. Randy Mantooth and Kevin Tighe were, let's face it, FINE!!
And I'm saying this as a 100% heterosexual male. Even I know that those two were the height of coolness.

9. she had a long music career before she was Nurse Dixie
As did her husband Bobby Troup/Dr. Joe Early. Did you know that he wrote "Route 66"?

11. I love that song!
An even more amazing bit of trivia is that Ms. London was co-producer Jack Webb's ex-wife! Yes, Mr. "Joe Friday" Webb actually cast not only his ex-wife, but her new husband in his TV show! That takes a special kind of coolness.

15. Hell, I didn't know that...
about Webb being her ex-husband. I did always imagine that she was probably throwback Jack's ideal dame....because she was one FINE looking woman. Pity about her singing, though...:)

19. I loved this show
I am so jealous. I had such a crush on randolph mantooth. I was a teenager, but my younger brother (6 years younger) would yell "emergency" "emergency" when it came on. He bought me a toy "emergency" helmet for my birthday.
