Looking for some music I heard years ago

Since we seem to have a musical thing going this afternoon ...

There was this album featuring a singer accompanied by her husband on the piano. She was a professional singer, opera I think, but she was singing some contemporary, traditional and folk songs. She was a very good, accomplished singer except in this album she was deliberately bad, as was the accompaniment. It was hilarious. You wouldn't think someone could get away with that for an entire album but it was simply wonderful. She was just slightly out of tune, or messed up sections, sometimes she forgot and made up the words, and her husband on the piano was almost as funny. It was all done in a deadpan, serious manner--not slap-sticky or overly silly.

Please, does anybody know her name or the name of the album. I think she was famous for this bit and may have done more than one album (hard to believe) and certainly she performed frequently live.

1. Jo Stafford and Paul Weston as Jonathan and Darlene Edwards

I absolutely love it. She had such an exquisite way of being just off key...and he would fumble around, speeding up and slowing down as the song went on. It was a thing of beauty, and it is available on CD.

7. OMG: Dizzy Fungers piano solo

I don't remember any piano solos on the album, this one was just hilarious!

2. Eileen Farrell possibly

She was an opera singer who also sang jazz and pop. She was famous for having done both. But I think she accompanied herself. On edit: I don't think she ever did any humorous albums. (That's what I get when I try to be first without reading the whole post.)

Or Joan Morris and her husband, someone Balcom.

Both Morris and Farrell recorded numerous albums.

There was another lovely lady who was hysterically funny whose name I can't remember. She did a hilarious summary of The Ring and a Write Your Own Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta.

6. Sounds like the Captain and Tennille to me.

I can't think of anyone who fits this description better.

By the way, a lot of people don't know that Toni Tennille was considered "the female Beach Boy". She actually filled in for Brian Wilson for a while on keyboards when he refused to go on tour (due to some, er, other problems he was having). Evidently, Ms. Tennille is an even better keyboard player than her husband "the Captain", only he got to play the keyboards in their group because he can't sing worth beans and she can. She also sang back-up with Beach Boy Bruce Johnston on Pink Floyd's "The Wall".
