CA Senate votes for ban on piercing minors without parental permission

Legislation reinstating a ban on body piercing of minors without parental permission was approved Tuesday by the state Senate.
The measure by Assemblywoman Sharon Runner, R-Lancaster, would restore a ban that expired on Jan. 1.


The bill would make it an infraction punishable by a fine of up to $250 to perform body piercing on most parts of the body of a person under age 18 without the permission of a parent or guardian. Ear piercing would be exempt.

Thank you California State Legislature for taking up such an important piece of legislation especially when we have an unnecessary $50M election looming
