Did anyone else notice that cowboy boots seem to be "in"?

I don't think I've even noticed anyone wearing them but they are everywhere in every store. What is going on??

I have to admit that I'm strangely attracted to the brightly colored ones...but I probably would never buy them..so not me.

Have you noticed this where you are?

They're crowding every retail shoe store--I'm on the hunt for some regular boots and it's just cowboy boots in every color everywhere.

11. The thing that cracks me up about Uggs

is that all these people wear them because they're fashionable..and then *my parents* go out and buy some (not $400 ones of course) because they're "warm and comfortable". How hip! :rofl:

25. They are hideous. I have a friend who had...

weight loss surgery, and after losing massive weight, she now wears Paris Hilton -style mini skirts, skanky shirts, and pink Uggs.

Several thousand dollars worth or surgery bought her a smaller body, but it didn't buy her taste in clothes.

A certain redneck percentage of wannabe-cowboys/girls has always worn the silly things. I had a pair eons ago when I was in 3rd grade. Nothing could induce me to wear them now, though.

A pair of good Tony Lamas, properly cared for, will last a lifetime. I've had mine for close to 20 years.

Plus, I buy retro boots. I've got a pair of turqoise and rust Tony Lamas from the sixties. I have them on display in my house. (Very rustic cabin).

16. I actually began noticing this about 2 or 3 weeks ago

I was on a subway and realized that there were 4 different women all wearing cowboy boots.

I thought I had mistakenly left NYC somehow. Then I noticed that they seem to be everywhere.

not some knock-off. Tony Llama is the top when it comes to cowboy boots - they'll last forever! When the fad fades you can put some leather conditioner on em and store em in the back of your closet until the fad comes back (and it will).
