26. I've got a drytop

so I should be able to go into October--I did last year without the drytop! I was at the Upper Midwest Freestyle Kayaking Championship in Wausau this weekend (as a spectator, not a competitior) but I did get to paddle on the course I was a rock star--for about ten minutes. I was a little slow rolling up after a trick (called a stern squirt--what're you giggling about?) and kind of missed the eddy I was aiming for. So I happily took off down the course ran a couple of chutes everything was looking good--until I somehow flipped, I was confidently setting up for my roll when I felt the telltale pillow of current around a rock, and then got my clock cleaned!:banghead: I'm pretty sure I still could've rolled up, but I just gave up and bailed at that point.

My helmet took the great majority of the shot, but I do have an impressive rockbite on my temple right now. I think I'm gonna stick to lakes until this weekend.

I don't even wanna tell you about how I banged my "cheek" on a rock during the swim. That made the head shot tickle in comparison! :dunce:
