A wise man said that the entire human race can be divded into two groups, Elvis people and Beatles people. Which are you, and why?

1. Early Elvis was great but he pissed his talent away.

2. The Beatles played their own instruments and wrote their own songs
Elvis was great-he broke through the barriers against rock in the 50s and made it marketable. He also was incredibly handsome before he got all messed up.

The Beatles were far more creative, in that they could incorporate many musical traditions into rock, including eastern music and traditional english songs. There's a reason why my grandmother never liked Elvis and american rock when my mom was a teen, but loved the Beatles ten years later. She felt that their songs reminded her of the songs her british father sang to her as a little girl. Then again, when grandma went senile, she started liking GNR, so go and figure.
