3. Since getting my iPod

I haven't listened to other people's conversations on the streets and subways as much as I used to. Sometimes, usually walking around Times Square, listening can be more entertaining than music though.

The best I heard recently was waiting for the bus in NJ. Four teenage girls were sitting waiting as well and I don't know what they were talking about first but it led to this conversation.

Girl 1: I haven't been tanning in a while.

(The other girls chuckle).

Girl 2: I go tanning three times a week but I've been sitting out recently.

Girl 3: I hate the sun. The only point the sun has is to make me tan. Now we have tanning beds so the sun can just go away.

Three of the four girls chuckle, one rolls her eyes.

This happened a week or two ago but it was a classic.
