From today's Tallahassee Democrat:

• Now that the widening is complete and all the beautiful trees are gone from Park Avenue, when will it be renamed "Tallahassee International Speedway"?

• The Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council and the Christian Coalition each chose not to condemn Pat Robertson's assassination comments. The looney right gets scarier every day.

• If the ordeal of the mating penguins is any indication, intelligent design is an oxymoron!

• The left still seems to cling to the idea "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." Those of us who make a decent income already are paying almost all the taxes.

The last one is obviously from a wealthy freeper who thinks they should have so many tax breaks that they pay less than what the rest of us do! Kiss my ass, Freeper!

1. The Rich aren't Freepers

Freepers are usually middle-class people who aspire to be The Rich.

The Rich know that the only way they can get and stay rich is to become part of the Big Gummint the Right so hates. Marx called them the reactionaries of the "Petit Bourgeoisie" (city-dwelling smallholders).

The American variant, the Freeper, is unusually petty even among reactionaries. And I personally wouldn't let one of them anywhere near my ass.
