they were great fun to play with. You just had to make sure you held on to your regulator.

Now, I'm not so sure that was the smartest thing to do.

Amazing stuff

Warning: lots of nakedness on the website.

Warning part deux: the video contains footage of an animal killing another animal.

2. That was amazing but very tough for me to watch.

I hate to see animals struggling for their lives. I was actually rooting for the shark. What kind of octopus and shark were they? And are you saying you rode the octopus? Those are obviously some strong animals.

On edit, I wanted to check out that website to find more amazing videos. Beware, if you don't like naked women, then don't go to the site. :wow:

did the shark die? I can't watch anything suffer, I'm such a wimp!

4. I would say it did die. The octopus
swam off with it. I am a wimp too. I know one needs to eat to survive, but the other one needs to not be eaten to survive. Ahhh, I guess we'll just be wimps.

12. Right before he became lunch!
It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have to watch him wiggle about trying to get free. Even a fish that he could easily swallow would be better b/c it would be over faster! :(

14. Exactly!
I once saw a struggle between two snakes - one was eating the other - small one was biting the large one, so even though he was lunch, the bigger snake was going to die later. I'm not a fan of that kind of nature

15. Me either. I know it happens, but
I could do w/o seeing it. I am a big fan of the Discovery Channel, but I have to close my eyes when the lions kill the wilda beast or gazelles.

5. Giant Pacific Octopus
Until now, I thought they were very docile creatures. The shark looked like a grey nurse shark, but I'm probably wrong.

6. I thought that sucker was pretty big.
Maybe they just aren't docile when it comes to lunch.

7. I know they like Ballpark Franks and Dungeness crabs.
The get huge (about 8' tip to tip) and are downright beautiful. Their eyes are incredibly spooky.

8. Ballpark franks? ha ha! I read a little
on them and apparently they are extremely intelligent. I have always been fascinated by squid and octipi!

23. Yeah, but like I said, very docile...most of the time
They don't like the feel of neoprene, so you have to take your gloves off if you want to handle them (unlike the guy in the pic...jerk).

The power of their suckers is pretty freaky. When you play with the small ones, they're like velcro on your skin. Not rough or painful, but definitely a weird sensation.

but I wouldn't mind playing with a smaller one.

i touched it and examined every square inch of it. amazing creatures. so powerful. everyone on that boat had diarhea. my son had no color, white lips etc. it happened at night and apparently the shark would lunge out of the water showing all his teeth.
