on a very sad day yesterday, she had me print everything out for her. losing your best friend is never easy, but cold blooded murder is a whole different level, i imagine. she is at grief consouling now at the hospital. tina's children are with family and they caught her ex-husband trying to get into canada at niagara falls, which is about a five hour drive from here. DU really comes through when one of us needs support. We've had this weird spate of husbands/boyfriends killing women -- in the city, in the suburbs, in small towns. Women who are pregnant or who are leaving these guys.

11. let me tell you a little about Tina...

her father left her mother with four kids when tina was a baby. she had to have her leg amputated to the hip as a child because of some kind of illness, she grew up poor and could only afford a wooden leg. my two daughters have been friends with her since childhood and she has been working with my oldest daughter at the shamokin hospital for a while now(my youngest daughter lives in florida). after her divorce, Tina worked very hard and put herself through nursing school. she finally was able to get a prosthetic leg. she also found a great boyfriend who treated her kids as his own. how sad her life had to end so tragically. i hope her ex gets what he deserves. thanks for listening.O8)
