I was intending to keep my Sirius account.
I am awaiting a reply from Customer Care - a last-ditch effort, because I like Thom Hartmann on #143, and Stephanie Miller.

But I did find some interesting things out. When another DUer listed the top XM investors, I took down George W. Haywood, Joseph Euteneuer, Gary M. Parsons, and Pierce Roberts.

Euteneuer and Parsons contributed to the XM Satellite Radio Political Action Committee, who took in approx. $42K, but distributed only $3,000, two donations of which were to Democrats.

Then, if I look at Open Secrets, it looks like Haywood is a major donor to Dems.

Doesn't look like Clear Channel has a controlling interest or any significant interest anymore.

Just trying to figure out if they are beholden to any Republicans.

Trying to make my decision whether or not it is Sirius or XM.

XM has Air America, but does not have Hartmann or Bill Press or Stephanie Miller.

This is a tough choice.

I have read the previous threads; I have been loyal to Sirius so far. But am now on the fence.

2. Actually, the only AM I am able to receive is on ... 1050 ..
out of LA.

I have to cut up the 215 north to Riverside, short drive on the 60 west, then 215 north to San Bernardino.

Really need satellite.

I'm keeping an eye on things.

Hi, Nothingshocksmeanymore!

I will get new bar exam results in 3 more months; my friends hired me as a law clerk - am really having fun.

Let me know if you are in Temecula area; I'm feeling much happier now.

3. I ended up dumping Sirius. Don't have anything now unless I am home

and streaming. I might have stayed if they had the whole Thom Hartman program. Couldn't stand Lynn Samuels. Ed Schultz is on AM here, but I don't care a whole lot for him. I had Sirius for abt 1 1/2 years, and they told me when I canceled they waived the 75 dollar cancellation fee because I quit over programming. That ticked me off I wasn't under any contract they had renewed me without notice. Also I called the day before Air America went off and they assured me they would be carrying it for several months yet. They lied. I will get XM when they move Colmes like they did Schultz, and carry Mike Malloy.

6. Go over there now.
It appears they did just add Malloy.

I know these are 'fighting words' around here - but I actually like Jerry Springer; he has a law degree (JD) and I have a law degree. He can really make a good argument, and I appreciate that.
