2. They're the most perfect looking spider I have ever seen, and
they make the most symmetrical web I've ever seen.

6. We had them by the hundreds around the shop where I
used to work. You could NOT pick up a pallet and not see (double neg) several nests... or at least one. We had them around the handles of our garbage cans, under our soap dispenser, I even found one nested in my cap (it had been hanging on the toolbox for sometime I must admit) but still, we had a virtual menagerie of widows.... hated it.

7. Dismiss the Myth
that black widow spiderlings (babies) are more dangerous and have more potent venom than the adult spiders.

It just ain't true. Black widow spiderlings do not have venom, and are, for the most part, cannabalistic with their own kind.

9. We have them here
On my property, I've mostly seen them around the well house and outdoor spigots.

They are mostly do as you please. If you leave them alone; they'll leave you alone.

10. brr,
back near Austin TX in the 70s we had the giant striped shiny spiders of terror. OMG those were scary.

the other day I was surprised by a fairly big spider. For no known reason I shouted, "We meet again, Mr. Bond!" as i pounced on him with a shoe.

maybe I should check my meds.
