Did anybody watch "The women" on Turner classic movies?
I've been watching Norma Shearer movies on and off all day but "The Women" is one of my all time favorites.

2. a movie with an all woman cast, Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford and many
others, it's about the way woman can be horrible to each other and very catty. The story centers around Norma whose husband leaves her for Joan Crawford.

4. What a classic.
The estrogen is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. Probably the only movie without a single male role.

6. I have it on DVD!
Great flick -- worth it for the clothes and the witty dialogue.

7. Great movie!
I also remember seeing it once on PBS which was followed by a filmed edition of a revival of the play, made in 2002, with big names, like Cynthia "Sex in the City" Nixon, Jennifer Tilly, and Kristen "3rd Rock from the Sun" Johnston (you know, the giant woman.)

God, did the remake suck! Back then, women had good voices, real style and refinement, and could speak rapidly, fluidly and clearly all at once. They can no more, let me tell you! The side-by-side comparison was devastating. (Of course, men used to have the ability to put across style, refinement, and skilled talk also - men have lost it all too!)
