Poll question: One Step Beyond! Was Madness ahead of their time? |
|
This whole "Ska" thing got me thinking, it's been done. Madness did it back in the early 80s, even the dancing guy in concert. Then copycats like some band and that one band with that one girl who does holllaback girl. I forgot her name.

2. Methinks ska had been around for a while in Jamaica years before. |
|
And out of that came reggae.
Besides Madness, there were also The Specials.

5. Dates back to the 60's, doesn't it? |
|
Unless I'm mistaken, Madness was part of what skaologists call the "second wave". Great band, though.

One episode was "Sick" and the other episode was "Boring."
"Sick" was one of my favourites along with "Cash" and "Nasty."
I loved Madness almost as much as I loved The Young Ones!
