This describes my mood perfectly (Song Lyrics Warning)
From the cradle bars
comes a beckoning voice
it sends you spinning
you have no choice......
You hear laughter
cracking through the walls
it sends you spinning
you have no choice
Following the footsteps
of a rag doll dance
we are entranced
Spellbound
And don't forget
when your elders forget
to say their prayers
take them by the legs
and throw them down the stairs
When you think
your toys have gone beserk
it's an illusion
you cannot shirk
you hear laughter
cracking through the walls
it sends you spinning
you have no choice
Following the footsteps
of a rag doll dance
we are entranced
Spellbound

1. ok...now for something completely different
Artist: Savoy Brown
Song Title: Hellbound train
Album: Live At The Record Plant
Kim Simmonds/Andy Silvester Chrysalis Music Ltd.

Hellbound Train I'm on it's track
Too late now to turn my back
Conductor coming ticket in his hand
Come to claim my soul
Take me to his land

Hellbound Train I been so wrong
Too late now I'm moving on
Conductor standing watch in his hand
Got to get aboard take you to his land

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

Hellbound Train driving slow
Move on down to the Hell below
Conductor please won't you lend a hand?
Got to get on board take me to your land

Yes I know I've been so wrong
Too late now I'm moving on
Hellbound Train I'm on it's track
Moving down I can't look back

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

Lost and flying down the road on the Hellbound Train
Lost and flying down the road on the Hellbound Train
Hand and hand with the devil

4. Well it was like this
Little kids are compulsive and wild and strange. They spin and dance until they are feeling dizzy and sick. Why? Because they have no choice.

And I was dancing around my apartmant this morning like a madman. Or a child. Because I had no choice. It had to be done.

To put it a different way....

I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down (what a jagged little pill)
It feels so good (swimming in your stomach)
Wait until the dust settles

You live you learn
You love you learn
You cry you learn
You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn

I recommend biting off more than you can chew to anyone
I certainly do
I recommend sticking your foot in your mouth at any time
Feel free
Throw it down (the caution blocks you from the wind)
Hold it up (to the rays)
You wait and see when the smoke clears

Wear it out (the way a three-year-old would do)
Melt it down (you're gonna have to eventually anyway)
The fire trucks are coming up around the bend

You grieve you learn
You choke you learn
You laugh you learn
You choose you learn
You pray you learn
You ask you learn
You live you learn

OK, not exactly the same sentiment. The first is a little scary and wild this a little more praising the freedom to act stupidly. But it has to be done. It keeps us young and interested and happy.

(None of that made any sense, did it?)

Neoteny, my dear Peggy, neoteny.

Khash.

5. Actually, my dear Khash.....
It did make sense...I hadn't seen your original poem from the eyes of a child...

But with that idea in my head, I just now re-read the poem, and it made PERFECT sense...

I really am enjoying your intepretation of the second poem...

And this makes sense, as well...

The one word I don't know is neoteny...

You fascinate me...

6. Neoteny -
Childlikeness (to mangle a word).

Humans are credited as being the most intelligent species, right? Humans also have the longest childhood of all species. Many scientists and philosophers have seen a connection between the two.

Infants (of all mammalian species at least) are inquisitive, impulsive, creative, playful. That usually ends with the onset of maturity. But in humans, giving that up or retaining it can actually be a matter of conscious choice.

It's never to late to have a happy childhood.

There's no point in becoming an adult if you can't act childish.

I bought myself a bottle of bubbles today and I have every intention of going out and blowing them. Bubbles for everyone!

Also, I highly recommend Play-Do and crayons.....

Khash.
