On Thursday, the Sun ran pictures of a very young Tom Cruise, even before his earliest acting days in high school, playing dress-up in women's clothing. The joke here is that Tom Cruise has been pretty ruthless in his pursuit to anyone that insinuates he may be gay. In recent years he sued people and magazines that hinted that much. He sends his lawyers quickly after anyone who may claim so. Seems like it's quite ironic for a guy that has used such zeal in defending his male-ness to have these silly (mind you, silly, innocent) pictures.

Do I think these silly childhood pictures make him gay? Of course not. It's just silly high-school fun, no biggy. I do have my share of embarrassing high-school photos to hide! ;)

It's the context of his crusade to fight anyone that suggest he may be gay that makes these pictures ironic.
