The reply from Sirius Satellite to my email.
I e-mailed Sirius Satellite, informing them that I was a very loyal subscriber. I let them know that I was networked with many progressives. I told them THIS was Decision Time. I needed to know if they had ANY plans whatsoever to add a new progressive channel, or change their schedule, or whatever. I let them know that I missed Air America, but that I also loved Thom Hartmann and Stephanie Miller. I let them know that Alex Bennett just was not tolerable (I may have put that in more diplomatic language).

I told them that, short of any good news or possibilities, I was going to have to cancel. I begged them to throw me a bone.

This is the caring e-mail I received: :sarcasm:

Dear Dawn,

While Air America Radio has made the decision to leave SIRIUS, our
commitment to great liberal talk programming continues. On SIRIUS Left
// Ch. 143, we have an outstanding lineup of liberal talk including Ed
Schultz, Alex Bennett, Lynn Samuels, Alan Colmes, Stephanie Miller, Thom
Hartmann, The Young Turks, and more! We're always looking to add or
develop even more programs to give you the best variety of programming
choices anywhere. Please feel free to visit sirius.com for the latest
information on our programming!

Thanks again for your feedback. As always, your suggestion is being
forwarded to our programming department for further consideration. If
you have any more suggestions or comments, please feel free to contact
SIRIUS Customer Care. For your convenience, we are available 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week at:

1-888-539-SIRIUS (7474)

As well as by email at:

----end of quote---

As you can see they really care. :sarcasm:

So, I off I went and made arrangements for XM!

5. Sirius Disappoints Me
I too was looking for a reason to stay with them. Schultz I can take or leave, plus he's on XM (but thankfully moving off Air America's channel to make room for more Randi.)

Al Bennett - just ok, rarely listen to him.
Lynn Samuels - remember her from NYC. Just can't take the voice.
Alan Comes - surely you jest. Fox's version of a liberal
Stephanie - Can be funny, but never at a time I could listen.
Thom Hartmann - A great liberal mind. Solid.
Young Turks - I've come to appreciate them, but they're on opposite Randi. Sorry.

There's lots of other liberal talents they could get. They really don't care.

6. You're right.
And many of sent e-mails to Sirius suggesting various progressive talent and programming possibilities.

You can see how much they listened.

8. Fuck'em. Im dumping Sirius and I'm listening excusively to CDs and
Books on CD.

I'm done with Satellite radio.

For some reason the BASTARDS seem to think that Howard Stern is going to turn the tide.

I don't think so. They can kiss my milk chocolate brown ass.

12. HeeHee!

I certainly understand how you feel.

I'm going to try XM. I researched their top investors. One is a solid contributor to the Democrats. Found no big evidence of heavy Republican contributions - at least at the individual level.

We'll give it a try.

I'll report back.

Sad, but TOO FUNNY.

14. I understand.
I begged them to throw me a bone, like you would a stray dog, but they wouldn't (like I said above).

If they had something big in the works, surely they could give us a hint; I do believe that they aren't even interested in us.

That is a big mistake.

Their loss.
