1. I dunno, but I have a mark on my upper thigh from laptop battery heat
My battery is in upper left corner of machine, and gets extraordinarily hot there. I always put it on a pillow now... I have a discoloration there that is not going away quickly. I cooked my thigh at a low temp for extended time. Not recommended.

3. LOL me too!
I finally bought one of those things that goes under your laptop that has a couple of fans in it. Not only has the mark on my thigh slowly begun to fade my computer does not overheat anymore.

4. fans in it?
does it come with a remote control? I'd love to be able to fly my laptop from the desk to my lap without getting up.

5. On second thought...
never mind. I don't want ANYTHING with spinning blades sitting anywhere NEAR my lap.

10. Am using my laptop right now
on my living room table. For years, have used a plastic-coated wire mesh silverware holder...the type that you put in your kitchen drawer...to put my 'puter on. Air circulates around it, it doesn't get hot or slip around, is easy to stash in my car for road trips...handy-dandy inexpensive and great item :)

2. You may...
...I suggest placing an ice pack between you and the laptop. Make sure it's a leakproof ice pack...electric shocks may have reproductive problems as well.

Oh, and do all this in private. Somebody SEEING you with a laptop sitting atop an icepack on your lap will probably NOT want to reproduce with you...I think that qualifies as a problem, yes?

7. Maybe. If you are a boy.
Doesn't seem to cause problems for girls.

Of course, you could just keep doing it and if you ever having problems conceiving you can just let your partner take all the blame for being infertile and then, just at the n-th hour when it looks like they'll be no baby henslees, you can reach back into your brain for this day and say, "It's because of the hot lap top battery!"

9. Two comments:
1) karma bites, don't it? (Non-wealthy DUer here)
2) I don't know about reproduct(ive) problems, but it seems like you've already developed CAS: Compulsive Abbreviation Syndrome. You should get that checked out!
