Hi everybody....I was feeling a bit odd after dinner...Normally my
hunger goes away quickly after eating, but tonight I felt hungry and a little shaky even after cleaning up the kitchen...

So I had a little dessert...and then I sat down here at my computer to see what would happen next.....

And now my hunger is gone...and I feel like myself once again!

VERY odd...

2. That's what it felt like...
And I was quite hungry before dinner...but I'd had some macadamia nuts while I was cooking...and that usually takes care of things...

Oh well, at least it's gone!

3. At any rate, I am glad you are feeling better
I get hypoglycemic once in a while and it is very unpleasant.

7. I also get hypoglycemic now and then...and yes, it is very
unpleasant...I've had it checked out...

I've just never had it happen after dinner before...

I have kicked up my diet to increase my weight loss...perhaps I need to watch that a bit more...

12. Had it happen to me today, too
Am hypoglycemic, and on an antibiotic (doxycycline) for after dental work. Looked up the side effects of the antibiotic am on, and learned it can reduce insulin. Now am wondering if I need to be checked for diabetes.

Glad you're feeling better, CaliforniaPeggy!

And thank you, yes, I'm feeling just fine now...

I guess there are limits as to how vigorously I can cut my calories!

I'm hoping you got back to normal...

Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 12:35 AM by bridgit
and has me thinking of late about how it is systems are @ peak & are then perhaps not from time to time; he refers to them as "flutters" that work their way on through, if you had had a chart, or monitor attached so as to say, you may have seen a little wobble, or 'flutter', but all is right now, yes :D system normal  and that is a good thing to my mind :hi:

So you get it as well? I have to say, that my teeth have never chattered while I'm hypoglycemic...

I get very shaky feeling, and my gut hurts...No fun at all...

I am trying to lose weight, but I may be trying just a little bit too hard!

19. Yes indeedy it was strange...my dear fishnfla....
But I hadn't had much lunch, and then just a little snack while I was making dinner, and then dinner was not huge..

So maybe all that was just too much for this old body of mine?

But I'm great now...I'll just have to keep an eye on things...

 I appreciate your concern...

No need to worry about me! But I thank you for it...

I'm fine...I even have a phone right here next to my computer, so if anything seems to be wrong, I can call the paramedics easily...

But that is NOT happening...at all...Thank you...

Please don't worry about me...I have very strong survival instincts...

30. What does your intuition tell you, Peggy?
Was this just an anomaly, or do you think you ought to see a doctor tomorrow (Monday)? As I recall, you're a retired nurse?

31. As promised, here you are, my dear Heidi...
My gut feeling is that I need to keep an eye on myself for the time being...

I do not feel that a trip to the doctor's is necessary at this time...

And yes, I am a retired nurse...and I know my body well...

As I said upthread, I had cut my calories today more than on other days, and I believe that this is what upset me...

I feel fine now...and I will be observing myself closely...

Probably just an anomaly....I appreciate your concern, my dear!
