8. Yes, the Lady is NOLA Creole and Canadian First Nations...
She literally cracks me up sometimes. I know she's worried about this storm. I called up there and tried to reassure her I'm sure her relatives have all left New Orleans by now.

11. Yep, that storm surge will be a bitch if they get a direct hit...
My home town of Texas City is down close to the sea level in Galveston Bay. The Corp of Engineers built a sea wall around most of the city after Hurricane Carla.

12. On the other hand, FOX news was live on Bourbon Street
and when the reporter asked of a bar patron "So, why are you still here?" the gent responded to said reporter with: "What the fuck do you care?"

Or some such. It definitely contained the F-bomb.

But yes, about the OP--George's compassion can bring one to tears.

14. That's pretty much what I thought.
I know enough to know why folks stay behind in bars during crises.

I think It's actually rude and disrespectful to ask.

Poor FOX! The "Puckered'n'Tuckered Anus Brigade" who thrives on their bullshit will be swamping them with emails and phone calls. Letters, even!
