I'm quite familiar with the area being that I grew up there and drive through that region everytime I go visit my family!

And there is NEVER enough cowbell!!!!

4. I lived in Chico, California once. It was next to Paradise.

Paradise was about 30 miles away up in the Sierras, while Chico was in the valley. They would get snow in Paradise. The entire area was beautiful, and the local people were comprised of college students from CSU-Chico, old hippies, and Freepers.

In the 1940s, there was a major scandal when a 15-year-old boy ran off with his neighbor's wife to Paradise. The boy's name was Sonny Wisecarver. They even made a movie about his exploits.

As for the cowbell -- there are always those who dissent. And I, for one, find it difficult to believe it took Chris Walken's SNL skit to bring the Blue Oyster Cult's use of it to peoples' attention. The first time I heard Don't Fear The Reaper, it knocked me over, much like the first time I heard Sounds Like Teen Spirit or Supper's Ready or Sheena Is A Punk Rocker. None of which have cowbell -- or much of it, anyway.
