It's grammar not grammer...............
I've been posting for a little while now on DU, and just realized I've been spelling grammar wrong. Every time I post and forget to check for mistakes, I try to fix it, and I always put--edit for my awful grammar. All this time I have been spelling grammar, as grammer. I feel like a dumb ass. I'm probably the only person who finds this amusing, but I thought I'd give you a laugh at my expense.

1. Don't worry about it. No one here, unless they are part
of the grammar police, pays too much attention to errors in spelling, punctuation or grammar. I see a lot of errors that make me cringe, but I'm not going to correct them.

2. That is by No Means the Worst
I can't believe the basic spelling mistakes here (or anywhere on the internet). My favorites are "loose" instead of "lose" and "it's" where "it's" is appropriate.

11. Right -- Two "It's"
This is casual internet posting, so you can't get too concerned about typos. Think about instant messaging -- everything is a typo. The only things that bother me are those that seem to reveal some sort of basic illiteracy.

13. I know, I'm just teasing :)
I did some copy editing in college, and I can't let go of it. I'm generally a 'silent grammar nazi'... I'll notice and not say anything. Personally, I'm much too fond of ellipses... :)

3. Don't feel too bad about it.
I'm a former English teacher, and I once went to a workshop with a private business on English grammar and usage. The sign they had in the front of the room was spelled "grammer." Needless to say, the presenter was mortified that it was wrong and that she hadn't noticed it!

5. The worst is when people capitalize their subject line like it's a title
That annoys me. It's not a title, it's a sentence. In fact, it doesn't even have to be a sentence.

And it's really dumb when they capitalize the subject line like a title, but the sentence actually continues inside the post, and the part of the sentence inside the post isn't capitalized like a title.

12. It's ok. It's the internets, not a final paper
everybody types fast and there are worse things than misspelling 'grammer', ya looser! :7
