8. I've done a bit of speculative research.

I don't believe she lives anywhere near coastal Mississippi which took the brunt. I think she lives more in Category 2 territory, into which many from NOLA fled. Rough weather, most definitely, but hunker-downable.

10. We've had tornados in central Alabama already

I know where SB lives, but am not sure if she has posted it directly here, so I'll leave out the specifics. Not coastal, central Mississippi. I'm sure she is still getting some of the bad stuff. I'm in east central Alabama, and we've already had three tornados touch down in my county alone.

No matter how often you've heard them, those sirens are the catalyst for a sense of dread in the pit of your stomach. They are for me, anyway. And we're lucky here. Sending lots of positive energy to Mississippi and Louisiana friends and family....
