1. For me, it's all right to lie about your age when

lying doesn't involve you in breaking the law...I know, I'm hopelessly square...

And I'm being just a little hypocritical here...I did do some under-age drinking many, many years ago...

I did have alcohol with my fancy dinner dates many years ago when I was in college...

A question--You say three years away. Did you not graduate or did you finish in 3 years or did you commute the final year? Just curious. No big deal if you don't want to comment.

And I have NO PROBLEM answering your question...I did graduate, first off...

The original plan was that I was going to go to my college, San Jose State for two years ,and live at home for that time...

Then I was supposed to transfer to UC Berkeley or someplace like that and live away for two years...

But I made a new friend that fall at SJS...and she lived in a private dorm..She took me by there and I got a real good look at it...

And boy did I like the look of the place..I went home and told my parents that I didn't want to transfer away, that I loved SJS, and I wanted to live on campus for three years, starting my sophomore year...

And to my complete surprise, they said yes...They were extremely overprotective of me...and those three years were necessary to become the adult female I finally suceeded in becoming...

I had several boyfrends...got my first kiss, and make-out session, and finished up getting married the year I graduated...

What a trip it was! 40 years ago...thanks for asking! :toast:

If you managed to get to the age you are now--it's a great accomplishment. Hold your head up and proudly say I'm (your age)!

1) To get the senior discount at restaurants

2) To get a Happy Meal at a fast food restaurant

3) To join the Red Hat Society

4) To pretend to be younger when you're online and hanging
out with twenty-somethings. (NOT with children, mind you, but to be able to talk about things that young adults do, and not sound like an old fogie)

well, that gives you lots of leeway. Several ages are divisible by 20. And "something" covers a WHOLE lot of territory. ;-)
