For my 15000th post: the worst television program ever.
It's called "My Super Sweet 16" and, not surprisingly, it's on MTV.

If you are unfamiliar with the show (and I was), let's let the network summarize what it's about, hmm?

My Super Sweet 16 takes you on a wild ride behind the scenes for all the drama, surprises and over-the-top fun as teens prepare for their most important coming-of-age celebrations. Meet the kids who are determined to go all out to mark this major turning point in their lives, the parents who lavish every wish, and find out first hand what it's really like to turn 16 these days.

Sounds wonderful doesn't it? Well, this particularly episode honestly made me feel ill. It centers around the worst child ever being given an obscene orgy of a birthday party by her wretched upper-class family.

My favorite part was when her grandparents took her to the Audi dealership for her new car, and on the way there joked that they were looking at a car that was 4 or 5 years old (what they call "pre-owned" at Audi dealerships) and the birthday girl was quietly freaking out about having to put up with a used car. I mean, my God - used! What would her friends think? But - oh! - granny and gramps were just joking about that whole used car thing. Ha ha ha. Riotously funny! And then she drove off the lot in a brand new Audi at age 16 for hitting the jackpot in the birth lottery.

I came away from this program with a thought: not only should the Estate Tax be forever implemented, but we might ought to consider sterilizing the rich as well.

Just the 15000th cheery post from your pinko uncle Fenris! :hi:

Those kids are out of control. And what was with the Dad dressed up like a fucking pimp the whole time?

22. MTV has a fixation with extravagance and waste....
Cribs, "It's Nice to Be...", etc. All these programs show is people with a ton of money and stupidity to match. I don't care if you've got 2 bazillion dollars, there is NO NEED to wear a pair pants ONE TIME and then throw them away. SUpposedly this is what Usher does. And they glorify this idiocy. It's infuriating.

21. Heh...fewer Woodlands people!
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 11:57 AM by Fenris
:D

(Not that I ever associated with the super wealthy in the Woodlands. The only people I ever knew were middle class. But the wealthy did exist. They just kept to their gated communities.;))
