The art of retouching...
Found this link on a blog... shows you just how much retouching goes into "glamour" photos these days. The miracles of PhotoShop. Some of these might as well be oil paintings!

Link possibly Not Safe For Work... no nudity, but scantily cladditude...

11. That's wild...
I noticed one where he centered a lady's...ahem...camel toe.

Crazy. It's really amazing how different some of those touch-ups are from the originals...

2. I've seen some of these before
Quite the reminder to us all that living up to this 'standard' is impossible, even for those who are portraying it! Bah!

3. So Lynz...
Who's been retouching your photos? The ones I've seen all look pretty spectacular. ;)

How's it going? Haven't bugged you in a while. :hi:

12. LOL
Yeah, well, the only ones I've had retouched were ones where I took the redeye out (and did a piss-poor job of it, LOL)

It's going ok... work, school, kiddo, moving, vacation this weekend, trying to buy a house. Haven't been around much!

4. This has been going on long before Photoshop.
Adobe just made it more efficient.

5. Read the About page...
"Glenn was born in the heart of NY, found art and was born again. Back then he used one of those old fashioned airbrush painting thingies to retouch images & do illustrations, but soon found the new fangled computers that all the kids were using."

6. Why isn't anything ever "old-fangled"...
...or "new-fashioned" for that matter?

7. It's a part of what I do, too.
Unfortunately, I don't work with pictures of models.

8. Me too...
Once in a while I'll get to "help" a person who's going to be in a newsletter or a brochure or something -- except it usually helps if the person never sees the original! I'd have mixed feelings if someone removed my double chin digitally...

Friend of mine used to do retouching for Victoria's Secret catalog almost full-time. Said it really removed a lot of his illusions about so-called "perfect" models.

9. Just seeing what goes on backstage at fashion shows
should destroy most illusions.
