Yes, the kitties are all gone, kittens fixed and adopted, and the momma- fixed and released back to her colony. I hope she is doing well, she's fantastically adept at staying hidden. I haven't seen her since two seconds after I opened the cage!

I still haven't heard from my non-Du'er friend. We went to law school together and stayed in touch over the years. I missed her when I was in NO in 2003 - she had a family emergency back in Kansas. I went to NO for the Final Four. We joked that some cosmic force would no longer allow the both of us to be in the same state at the same time because it cause chaos.

We've had a lot of ups and downs on-line over the years. We've helped each through broken relationships, bad days and the best moments. She's like a little sister to me. She'll ignore me for months than want all my attention because she's going through the biggest crisis of her life or she's just run off and eloped. Every time the phone rings I jump thinking it will be her - but in some ways, that's nothing new. I just never knew what to expect next. Right now I just want her to be safe. I know there are so many others that feel the same way.

More than anything else I pray she and her new husband are alright and like you expressed, it is a prayer I have for everyone affected.
