8. I agree - "inconceivable!"
No amount of imagery will give a full sense of the experience.

(It seems particularly weird when you see places that you've been, wholly altered by the flooding.)

6. Among those pics is one of a tattered US flag...
As I recall, there are very few places in this country that are supposed to fly the flag in all kinds of weather and at all times of day.

I don't imagine the Hyatt New Orleans is among them.
