Unemployment is just like summer vacation

2. This morning I woke up and looked in the mirror

and I looked RESTED for the first time in well over a year.

I've had this haggard look that I thought was just the natural course of aging, but it's dissapated and I look at least 5 years younger... and this was after spending a week sleeping in my car and getting 4 or so hours of sleep a night.

3. Uemployment did the same for me

After I was laid off, I could easily have gotten other jobs, but I realized that I'd been too stressed out with my mother's death and my office getting blown up and the stress of the job, that I took almost a year off.

I looked WAY fucking better, and FELT way fucking better after it.

Burned up my savings, but it was WAY worth it. WAY worth it.

I think I would have had a nervous breakdown otherwise.

4. While I was working

I thought my job was OK, but now I realize it sucked.

Funny how that happens.

5. I thought so too

three years ago. Now I'm something way past rested and boredand broke. Seems I retired 30 years too soon and without the financial means to remain indefinitely self-supporting. Not that anybody (other than family and friends of course) cares.
