My entire family has lost EVERYTHING

I thought my aunt's B&B in Uptown and my dad's place near the Zoo would be spared, but now the pump broke and the entire inner city will now be flooded - including the Quarter.

I think virtually every member of my family has lost their home - from aunts, uncles, cousins - ... maybe the cousins in Houma have been spared, but I don't know.

I still can't contact my dad via cell phone. I do know he's okay because he left well before the storm hit. I still don't know about a cousin of mine in Slidell who was being a gigantic fool by staying.

Just venting...

I live in Colorado. My entire family on both sides lives down there, including my dad.

Thank you so much for the well-wishes. I can't get through to anyone save my mom in Dallas. The eentire place is flooded.

26. My brother too......

He is in the Bywater and had no flooding.....but now, by morning, he will have 8 ft of water in his lovely, very old creole cottage. Thank Goddess he is safe in Panama City. But he so loves that house and New Oleans. We held on to hope all day and now that is gone...and so is the city.
