If I didn't have books to read, I think I'd die

I so look forward to reading in bed before sleeping. What objects/activities do you find irreplaceable?

8. I won't leave the house without a book... it's like they're my

security blanket or something. I looove reading, loooove books. I hate being without one, and will have several lined up before I finish whatever book I'm currently reading so there's no lull between the time I finish one book and start the next.

Nice to have my kitties around, my husband puttering around the house somewhere, and a glass of wine. That is pretty much pure contentment for me (b/c books are almost the only way I have to block out the pure, unadulterated shittiness of Dubya and his policies and the misery he so gleefully spreads across the globe).

I'd be so sad if someone took away all my books. It's such a better escape than getting drunk or banging a hooker.

11. I read every night before bed too...

although Greekspeak wishes I wouldn't. I LOVE to read! Have you ever read "Le Morte D'Arthur" by Sir Thomas Malory? It's not easy to read, but it sure is a fascinating story!

have my cat snuggled up and read away. I can't listen to music at the same time though because it's usually Mozart or Beethoven and then I get caught up in the music.

13. Definitely books. Also, hot tea, chocolate, friends, and pets.

The occasional hike in the woods make life pretty good, too.
