For those of you who remember the DUer " Champ " ...

he has'nt been posting on the DU for reasons that will remain unknown . There are some of us who have remained in contact with him over the past couple of months . Anyways - He has come to a major decision in his life , he is joing the US Army . Now some of you may not agree with this decision considering everything that is going in the country at the moment . While I have my own personal thoughts about enlisting , I understand the choice that he made . Just wanted to post this for all of the friends that he had on the DU . I wish him well :)

2. I don't know Champ

but I have mixed feelings about him enlisting. I don't like the thought of anyone (except the war cheerleaders) enlisting and ending up fighting in Bush's wars. But, I am the wife of a soldier and know the hell my husband and other soldiers are being put through due to the military being overextended and appreciate people enlisting.

Either way, I hope he stays safe.

... he's making a mistake. Whatever he imagines this to be, he's wrong.

Serving the enemies of democracy (and, by that, I mean the cabal) isn't serving one's country. It's serving them and their interests.
