At first I was opposed to gay marriage....
but then I found out it only applied to gay people :P

On another note when I asked my dad what he thought of gay marriage he said "it's unfair to straight people that gays can't marry; why should only straight people suffer??"

I know but I need to laugh and I just wanted to give a little juice to everyone else...I said my piece on gas prices and the doomsday scenario though!! now I gotta say something about the looting but my feelings aren't all that different from the way it seems the majority feels.

Sure use it spread it dad won't mind :)

3. Actually, I prefer your post to any and all of the other NO related ones.
No one is being objective, only reactionary. It gets really depressing.

8. Intended to be a joke...
from what I see on the looting threads, there are two distinct camps - each totally convinced of their own rightness and talking right past each other. So, when you say you agree with the 'majority', both sides will think you mean them. Hence the "cop-out" comment. Take a stand and get flamed - why should you get a pass when everyone else has leapt into the mire?!

:)

Hard thing is is that it's tough to make a joke out of the situation you really need a mind like John Stewart's to make a funny out of this sort of situation......No no I'm not even gonna go near it lest I will be flamed for real.

In reality those looting food and necessities to live I sympathize with them, if I was there and I had my dad's truck and was in control and saw people trying to jump in it forcefully or secretly I'd yell "hey hey! just get in man anyone who can fit just get in you can come with us no hitting no violence I will take as many as this heap can carry!" those looting other people's valuables ie someone busting into someone's house in search of family jewels deserve a beating at least c'mon I can understand desperate but the desperate ones are looking to feed their families and get them to high ground asap, only thugs would look to rip off grandma's pearls.

Anyone crazy enough to want to get married should be free to do so. All power to 'em.
