my house. I just put a jar over it and slide a piece of cardboard under the mouth of the jar. Be sure not to pinch his feet though. Then you can take him outside.

Some people just cup their hands around them to take them outside. I'm afraid I might freak if it jumped while it was in my hands so the frog is safer in a glass jar.

20. My mother had a frog story for me

Recently my mother & her husband have been adopted by a pregnant cat (name is Grey Kitten - they're not good with names). Anyhow, Grey Kitten is a strictly outdoor cat although they're going to take the steps to get homes for all but one of the kittens and then get Grey Kitten and one of her babies all fixed so they can continue living there (they're in a rural area and plenty of shelter for them to escape into )

Ok Frog Story

Grey Kitten decided to join them on their back door deck. My mom noticed taht Grey Kitten's mouth looked swollen so she decided to check it out. When she went to touch Grey Kitten, the cat meowed and out popped a tiny frog from her mouth!

lizards and whatever else Ginger brings me, is because I smoke, and I've read that nicotine residue can burn the skin of some animals. I'm a wuss, though: I use a whisk broom and a plastic container to corral spiders, crickets and other "untouchables." :scared:

I have a window fan and they make their way around it from the flower box and camp inside for a while. Charming little critters.

Catch him/her (who can tell on frogs?) if you can and relocate outside. Even if they look desicated, put them outside in some water. They really are amazing at "reconstituting" themselves.

Let him go safely, away from a regular path, where a dog or cat can't kill him too easily.

They're completely harmless and so small. I used to pick them up, stroke them for awhile and let them go again. They make goodpets if you feel like investing time and some money to them, but they're really better off free and wild.

I used to have a toad for a pet for a short while. We were on my grandfather's farm in Cape Breton one time, and I found this 3 legged toad. I named him Herbert T. Gillis (unless you're an OLD TV fan, you won't get the reference!) and put him a covered box, but my grandfather let him escape and then told me he got out on his own.

I wasn't too heartbroken, though--I had plenty of farm cats and other animals to play with.

50. Yikes! My friend, I can sure identify!

I fund one of those tiny things on my car, one night, after I'd pulled into the garage and just happened to take a second look. Where I picked him up is anybody's guess. But there he was, tiny and green, glued to my car, like a tiny hood ornament, with those amazing sticky little feet! My first thought was to ask DU for advice!:D

What I did was what I do with the numerous flying things that seem to make their way into my house. I got a paper cup (any cup will do) and a thick-enough card or piece of paper that would fit over the top. I gave him a nudge to urge him into the cup and took him back outside. I was worried that I wasn't close enough to water (a busy road separates me from the watershed), and it took me two tries to decide where was the best place for him.:shrug:

But what I finally did was take him way out back in my back yard, which borders woods, and let him go there. God knows, I kept an eye on him for ages, watching him leaping in the tall grass in the beam of my flashlight. But, at least, he was far enough away from the road and surrounded by lot of trees. He had his choice. I don't know if I did the right thing, and I've often wondered about him, since. But I made sure was safe and let him go.:-)

Anyway, that's my best advice. One found me, too!:hi:
