INXS sucks rotten eggs
Until tonight, I've been enjoying "Rock Star: INXS" on CBS because I thought it was a welcome improvement over Fox's "American Idol".

But I never understood why that no-talent obnoxious asswipe Chimpy-smirking, Cheney-sneering turd, JD, was on the show.

Well, tonight, INXS finally got a chance to boot him out, as he was *finally* voted into the "bottom three", and INXS *finally* had the chance to boot his sorry ass out.

So what did they do? They sent Ty home, the idiotic moronic fuckers!

I'm trashing my INXS albums, and will never buy another one. And I'll never listen to another one of their songs. They just lost my respect tonight.

9. I didn't think so.
See below re: Ty.

Of course, my wife introduced me to the show when it started, and we both noticed Ty. Beyond that, I can only blame myself for watching it with her.

13. The music was the steak he was the sizzle
Shaboo Shabah was a GREAT debut album and they had a good run there for a while (good music) but he was what sold the band. Girls loved him, guys like the music anyway and since girls liked it guys bought it too.

This is all WIN WIN WIN for them. Everyone who watches the show will buy the album and many will go see their tour (where the real money is).

I have been meaning to count the number of times "INXS" (product placement) is mention each show. Very blatant.

Just pulled it out recently. "One Thing" stands up as does "Black and White." So frickin' catchy!

:applause:

I understand still wanting to do what you love, and continue as a band. But to keep the name INXS is inexcusable. They will never be INXS again. Dumbasses!

Rage Against the Machine grouped with Cornell, after Zach left. Did they keep the name? No. It wouldn't have been appropriate. I still respect them, and still listen to them. Won't listen to those nuckleheads (INXS) now or ever, after disrespecting Hutchence this way.

7. It's the only "reality show" I've ever even been tempted to watch.
And the only reason for that was because I had caught a few seconds of Ty in their initial promos. He's an awesome talent.

For weeks now, the voting has been APPALLINGLY RACIST!
I too was disgusted that the band chose to send the talented, nice guy home and keep the asshole.
Why couldn't they have used JD's consistent obnoxious behavior to put him out of everybody's misery?

Thanks for giving me a place to vent, Seabiscuit.

8. You're welcome. We may be the only Loungers watching this "crap"

based on the comments here and the general lack of responses.

I also noticed Ty at the beginning - not just because he has enormous talent, but because just last February I saw him on stage at Paris Las Vegas in the musical "We Will Rock You", a tribute to the rock group "Queen" and which pokes a lot of fun at "American Idol" (it "killed rock 'n roll").

29. Ty is sure to have a huge career ahead of him.
That "We Will Rock You" musical sounds great!
Ty has got to be able to do better than just fronting for this group of has-beens. ;)

I have actually wondered if that's why INXS has been bowing to the voters' opinion -- because they know they've got to have someone who appeals to today's audience. They're largely a 1980s band that's going to need 2005 appeal.

10. Ty wasn't gonna be selected anyway, and neither will JD.
Yeah, JD's a punk, but without him, the show has no tension.

Besides, everyone knows that at the end it'll be Mig who gets the gig.

JD might be the next to go, or possibly Jordis.

The final 3 will be Marty, Suzie and Mig, in any case.

(I'm not a fan of reality TV either, but RockStar INXS has been kinda fun to watch, now and then.)

11. I almost completely agree
My wife and I picked JD and Mig form the beginning (and yes I have missed a few of the shows). Marty is good but does he really have the maturity and BALLS to be a lead singer in front of a festival size crowd?

JD may reak of whitetrash but he has some experience performing (including Elvis impersonating).

Mig-was the lead in a Queen musical of some sort. Doesn't he look freakily like William Defoe? (maybe it is just the mouth) but his ability and his Australian-ous told me from the beginning that he was the one.

Ty..... it isn't about being black it is about the look. A Mohawk? in front of INXS? No he is a ROCK singer for sure but not for INXS.

That was pretty low what they did to Jordis last night-she looked like she just wanted to walk off in the middle of her song last night.

She's awesome. For her sake I hope she doesn't win. She'll have a much brighter future in a vehicle where she's the driver.

16. Her and Marty were the last two
JD and Ty were already on the other side of the stage. Either Marty or Jodis would be the third to have to perform an INXS song.....Brook Burke said that Marty was in the bottom three as they went off the air Tuesday night and he was still in the bottom three.......(MArty looks down/ Jordis lights up I'M SAFE!!!)...until the final few hours. Marty you are safe Jordis please join JD and Ty on stage.

Seriously she actually cried while singing (didn't look at the camera at one point) and just generally looked like she wanted to walk off on the spot.

22. I agree. Jordis is too good for the leftovers from INXS
When the show started, I was impressed early on with Ty - but then when I first heard Jordis sing I couldn't believe my ears - that girl should have a brilliant future on her own.

14. Ty was a pretender
If you're looking for a real, moody, obnxious lead singer with a ton of hang-ups, then JD is your rock star. (Mig, though, would be good if Bay City Rollers ever get back together.) Somebody told me all this. I certainly don't watch every episode on CBS at 9 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Sunday nites on VH-1.

18. That "somebody" who "told [you] all this" is a friggin' idiot.
The best talents remaining were Ty, Jordis and Marty. Now Ty's gone and JD is still stinking up the place.

25. I've been feeling the same way. It's like
they have already picked him. He's a shoo in because he licks the best ass and they seem to be sold on that. He sucks as a singer. They are snarky in their comments to the other performers. Many of them are really good performers too. I'm really hating INXS now too.

Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 06:56 AM by socialdemocrat1981
A truly wonderful, talented and gifted man who died well before he should have. His commitment to social justice, his stance against racism and his commitment to allieviating world poverty should serve as an inspiration to all musicians. A true humanitarian and a great man

28. I'm glad Ty went bye bye
and even gladder given his tantrum at the end.

He should have been booted before now frankly.

Like it or not...INXS seems to be giving people a break the first time they land in the bottom 3. It certainly wasn't Ty's first time there.
