Don't Dream Its Over
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 12:50 AM by minkyboodle
For NOLA

There is freedom within, there is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road
While you're traveling with me

Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know they won't win

Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof
My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof
In the paper today tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the T.V. page

Now I'm walking again to the beat of a drum
And I'm counting the steps to the door of your heart
Only shadows ahead barely clearing the roof
Get to know the feeling of liberation and relief

Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
Don't ever let them win

1. I always listen to Neil Finn when I'm sad.
Hell, I listen to Neil Finn when I'm happy too. But his voice and his lyrics always seem to comfort me. Thank you.

2. Ah, Crowded House. Other covers suck.
Now you just have to find the "Big Country" song lyrics.

5. Oh, man.
Don't get me started on 80s tunes.

A lot about the 80s sucked, but there was a lot of damn good music then, too.

New Orleans will rock again.

Mardi Gras 2006!!!

I had a tee shirt with that on it....

Saw them back in 87 or 88 in a small theatre....

They were suppose to open up for Bruce Hornsby, but they were delayed and so did another concert with Los Lobos......

8. Would he be willing to share it?
I normally play it in standard tuning, but I bet it would be quite pretty in drop-D.

:hi:
