An appeal to all you folks with Yellow Ribbon magnets on your car

You know, nothing looks more pathetic than seeing this yellow ribbon magnets faded from long exposure to the sun and elements. As I was driving to work I saw plenty of cars that had the magnets on the vehicle but faded to the point where you can't read them anymore.

Now it's well documented what I think about those stupid magnets. But if you're going to have one on your car can you at least take the time and $2 to buy a replacement one from time to time. Those faded magets tell me that maybe a few years ago supporting our troops was really important but now you can't be bothered with even getting a new one to show that you still car.

It's all pathetic!

1. Even worse: Worn and tattered American Flags

Some of them even end up in gutters when they fall off the cars.

The US Flag Code states that a flag which has become dirty and worn with age should be burned, with honors as appropriate. Considering that many Americans want to enact an anti-flag-burning law (which I suppose would exempt burnings done for US Flag Code purposes), it shouldn't be too much to ask that a little care be shown to how Old Glory is displayed.
