:eyes:

watching WDSU online and the Today Show just 'reported' he is "returning to his hometown"

1. I wouldn't be surprised
if he were bringing supplies, or arranging to do so.

2. Harry is a decent human being.
I'm not a huge fan of his music, but he is a really decent person. I think his intentions are good.

6. not questioning HIS decency
but with all of the problems getting people and supplies IN you would think this wouldn't be a top priority

10. But why not? Unless it is disrupting something... I don't see the harm.
Especially if he is doing it with the intention of helping, and given his past, I would bank on that.

13. Completely agree
And if they can airdrop supplies into Afghanistan, why can't they do that to the people stranded on top of I-10 or in other areas?

Oh yeah, because that's common sense and no one from this administration has any.

9. Ditto!
(His music is for the geriatric crowd, but he's a good guy. And he's talented, even if I don't care for his style.)

4. He was very good in explaining the situation

there.

He expressed a love for the PEOPLE of NOLA and especially the poor people that "make this city great!"

He also said that he hoped that after this is over the poor people that are the backbone of the city will be treated better than now.

I thought he did a great job and I was not a wild fan of his.
He said that he will be on the NBC Hurricane special with Aaron Neville and Wynton Marsalis on Friday at 8 pm ET.

5. Doesn't Harry have a benefit concert on Friday for NOLA?
I believe I read that he and two or three others are doing a PrimeTime concert to raise cash ala the concert in Jan. Perhaps seeing the scene to better report. Harry isn't a bad guy, I hope he can do some good.

7. Actually heard a CBS reporter ask the same question. "We're here,
why aren't the gov't agencies here? There is more of us (news people) here than relief workers."

I thought Bravo! Thank God someone asked this simple question on camera!

20. That's because George Bush isn't accountable for Harry
anything George Bush isn't accountable for can get there. It's all the things he and his elitist minions are accountable for that aren't working.
