Massachusetts will finally have an Ikea open and ready for business.

I don't care what anybody says, I LIKE Ikea :).

1. Ikea - we had I think THE first one in the country
in Woodbridge, VA at Potomac Mall. I really find it a very interesting store. The concept is to provide low cost furniture for people living in small spaces like condos or apartments. When I lived in Arlington I bought a lot of stuff from the Woodbridge store - book shelves, dining room set, kicknacks, etc. It was always fun to go and watch the little kids in the play room with all those bright colored plastic balls.

They recently built an enormous one to replace the very large one we already had, and I have to say I think it is just too big! I liked the store that was in the mall. You can get lost for days in the new store! Still it's fun to walk around.
